Data protection declaration for applications to the Johannes-Diakonie Mosbach

Welcome to the application portal of the Johannes-Diakonie. The Johannes-Diakonie places particular importance on the protection and responsible handling of your personal data. We only use your personal data within the framework of the applicable regulations. In addition to our general data protection statement, we provide information here about the collection, storage and processing of your personal data as part of the application process.
The responsible party within the meaning of the Church Act on Data Protection of the Protestant Church in Germany (DSG-EKD) is the Johannes-Diakonie Mosbach, Neckarburkener Straße 2 - 4, 74821 Mosbach.
We use the integrated application portal "d.vinci" of the company d.vinci HR-Systems GmbH, Nagelsweg 37 - 39, 20097 Hamburg, to process your application. Your application and the personal data collected in this context are stored in encrypted form in a German data centre and hosted by d.vinci HR-Systems GmbH.

1. Collection of personal data

In order to use the online application procedure, data such as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth. as well as information about your qualifications, CV and work history are collected. In addition, you have the option of submitting documents such as certificates. The data is processed exclusively for the purpose of application management and, insofar as this is necessary, for the decision on the establishing an employment relationship. The legal basis is section 6 no. 5 DSG-EKD, section 49 para. 1 DSG-EKD. On the basis of § 30 DSG-EKD (commissioned processing) or § 6 No. 8 DSG-EKD (legitimate interest), information submitted via the online application portal may be forwarded to the relevant offices and departments within the Johannes-Diakonie.
To simplify the collection of application data via the online application portal, applicants also have the option of indirectly accessing the LinkedIn and XING platforms.
If you wish, after authorisation on the respective platform, the applicant data held about you on the platform will be transferred to the applicant form on our website. The link to the platforms is provided solely for the purpose of simplified data collection as part of your application process. The use of the portals is voluntary and the responsibility of the respective applicant. We have no influence on the data processing procedures of these platforms.

2. Storage of your data (§ 21 DSG-EKD)

Your personal data will be stored or deleted in compliance with the following requirements and any personal data in paper form will be deleted in compliance with data protection regulations:
If you have applied exclusively for a specific job advertisement, your data will be stored for a maximum of six months from the date of notification of this decision to you until a decision has been made on filling this position.
After this period has expired, the data you provided will be anonymised and the documents you sent will be deleted. After this time, we only process non-personal data for the purpose of statistical evaluation.
This does not apply if legal regulations prevent deletion, if further storage is necessary for the purpose of providing evidence or if you have expressly consented to longer storage.
Furthermore, something else only applies if an employment relationship is established on the basis of your application or a legal provision exceptionally permits further storage of your data. In this case, your application data will also be processed for the implementation of the employment relationship or stored for longer periods in accordance with the statutory provision and, if permitted by a statutory provision, processed and used.

3. Your data protection rights

You have the right to obtain information about the processing of personal data concerning you, as well as the information listed in § 19 DSG-EKD. If the personal data is incorrect or incomplete, you may request that it be corrected or completed (§ 20 DSG-EKD). If one of the reasons listed in § 21 DSG-EKD applies, you have the right to demand the immediate deletion of your personal data. Under the conditions of Section 22 DSG-EKD, you may demand the restriction of processing and, pursuant to Section 24 DSG-EKD, data portability.
Under the conditions of § 25 DSG-EKD, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data.

4. Cookies and tracking tools when using the online application portal

Our application portal uses cookies and stores them on your computer. The cookies are used to make it easier for you to navigate and work in our application portal. Only temporary cookies are set, which are automatically deleted after you close your browser.

5. Security

In order to protect the personal data stored by us from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons, we have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures (e.g. HTTPS encryption). The adequacy of the protective measures is continuously checked and adapted to new security standards.
